Interpreting years and identities
Season-award years use the season-ending year. Draft and All-Star questions use calendar event years. Co-winners can each be accepted as an individual answer. Historical team names are kept for the Finals appearance in question rather than silently replaced with a later franchise name.
The 2014 Slam Dunk Contest used a different format; this collection follows the winner name in NBA.com’s historical list and states that boundary in affected prompts. Years without the relevant event have no invented winner.
